Two narrow rooms merged to form a new chapel and the corridor that surrounds it, acting as a buffer between the sliding screen panels of the new worship space and the operable casement windows of the existing exterior wall. The second skin created by the sliding screen panels suggests a kind of acoustic and psychic envelope. Silence and interiority are two values that frame this space created for individual prayer as well as community worship.
